Stürtz Know How at the Fensterbau Frontale Show 2010 in Nuremberg

Once again at the Fensterbau/Frontale show in Nuremberg this year Stürtz demonstrated its outstanding expertise in automation technology for PVC window manufacturing. On 532m² of exhibition space Stürtz displayed innovation and machines in keeping with the motto “The Complete Production Solution. Your Future – All from One Source“.

With technical advisers from Germany, France, Romania, Russia and USA as wells as international sales partners e.g. from Great Britain, Canada, Slovakia or Poland, every interested window manufacturer was able to find a competent partner to deal with his/her concerns. Most technical questions were able to be discussed and clarified at the machines on show. Visitors were able to view the outstanding processing quality of Stürtz machines on a variety of welded and cleaned sample corners.

The Cutting and Machining Centre for up to 160 windows/8h from the Stürtz cutting and machining family could be seen live up and running – a machine for all profile systems for the complete machining of window and residential door profiles with an upstream PVC machining module. During the last year Stürtz has redeveloped this area and is now also able to machine elements in the so-called wooden window look in automatic throughput. Downstream Stürtz welders and corner cleaners have also been updated with appropriate features and tools.

Various combinations were demonstrated to visitors in the welding and cleaning areas. For example, the 4MC Four Axes Controlled Corner Cleaner with a pivoting inner frame router with sensor feature for exact positioning, thus gaining an optimum cleaning result in the frame inner rabbet. The 2MC Two Axes Controlled Corner Cleaner in the new Evo Line was also demonstrated. This was presented to the public for the first time in Nuremberg. The Evo Line is the newest vertical welding/cleaning line from Stürtz equipped with a motor handling system and innovative CNC turning technology for energy saving processing and operating sequences with optimised cycle times.

An insulating material filling system was additionally integrated into this line. In order to reduce the U-value, this system fills insulating material into the profile during the welding cycle without affecting cycle times. The filling and ventilation holes are automatically sealed with plugs. This station does not have to be linked to a welder and can also be integrated at other processing stages of the window production

As the prototype that Stürtz demonstrated at the last Fensterbau show aroused such interest, Stürtz then presented the development in the area of butt welding with a Horizontal Six Head Welder for the butt welding of a transom and mullion contour in a parallel joining process. A machine already established on the market.

Anyone requiring more information about the modern fitting technology was well looked after at the exhibition stand. The FBS-1M Automatic Sash Hardware Screwdriver was presented in action with advanced racking system. This machine for the fully automatic fixing of premounted clip-on sash hardware components with a cycle time of under one minute is a particular highlight on the market.

In order to round off the entire range including the control equipment, the latest features of the Stürtz Production Control Software, PRO OPT were also available at the exhibition stand. The continuous intelligent development of this software guarantees optimum production flow for every window manufacturer.

We would like to thank all our customers and interested parties for visiting us at our exhibition stand. Thank you for coming! If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
